Work, Life and Engagement Workshops

Our programs and services focus on creating and sustaining a healthy mix of work, personal life, and academic pursuits—all in an effort to support each person’s need for work-life effectiveness. One way we do this is to offer workshops and events on the topics of:

  • WorkLife Effectiveness
  • Aging
  • Finances
  • Homeownership
  • Parenting
  • Well-Being

Lunchtime Workshops

We organize lunchtime workshops on the East Baltimore, Homewood, and Keswick campuses led by WorkLife staff, Johns Hopkins experts, and experts outside of the institution. Use this calendar for an overview of scheduled workshops. Be sure to change the month on the calendar to view all upcoming workshops.

Registration is required, and the workshops are brought to you at no cost as part of your HR benefits package.

If you'd like to receive monthly emails about the scheduled lunchtime workshops and events, click on the green Sign Up for Emails button and choose the WorkLife Presents option.

You may use the Workshop Registration System to register for workshops and Live Near Your Work events.

Department Workshops

We often receive requests from departments to conduct workshops at staff meetings, in-service trainings, and retreats. As a result, we now offer our full list of workshops. Please note that workshop offerings are subject to change based on facilitator availability.

The person responsible for organizing your department’s meetings and trainings should complete the online request form one month before the meeting/training. In order to move forward with planning the workshop, we need a guarantee of at least 10 participants. Once we have received the request form, we will contact you to plan your workshop. As part of your meeting, training, or retreat details, your department will provide a room for the workshop and necessary audio/video equipment.

If you request a workshop(s) led by an expert outside of Johns Hopkins, there may be a speaking fee which your department would pay.

If you have suggestions for workshop topics or presenters, please email them to worklife@jhu.edu.
