RETIREE PRIVILEGES: O´Connor Recreation Center

The Ralph S. O'Connor Recreation Center will admit officially retired faculty and staff of the university and spouses or same-sex domestic partners of officially retired faculty and staff for an annual membership fee of $120 per person. To obtain a spouse or same-sex domestic partner membership, the retiree must become a member. Documentation may be required as proof of marriage or same-sex domestic partnership.

Members are required to show identification upon entering the building and when requested by authorized staff. The Recreation Center will issue to members its own photo ID that is compatible with the university's J-Card system. Retirees will need to present their Johns Hopkins Retiree Identification Card in order to obtain the Recreation Center ID cards for themselves and their spouse or same-sex domestic partner.

Membership includes full use the Center's recreational and fitness facilities during the Center's regular hours. The Center also offers fitness classes including yoga, weight training, aerobics, dance and other activities for an additional annual fee. Members can also hire personal trainers for an additional hourly fee. Please visit the Recreation Center Web Site for more information on facilities, services and hours, or call 410-516-5229.

The Newton H. White, Jr. Athletic Center (adjacent to the O'Connor Recreation Center) is now dedicated to the use of intercollegiate sports teams and is no longer available for retiree use.

Complimentary tickets to all regular season home lacrosse games are still available to retirees upon request. Call the Athletic Center at 410-516-7490 if you are interested in receiving lacrosse tickets.
