Getting Started

As medicine helps us live longer, we are also more likely to need care in our later years. And, while caring for an aging family member has many rewards, it also has many challenges that most of us are unprepared for. Uncovering options for care, deciphering program rules, and dealing with complex emotions can feel overwhelming in the midst of full-time work and other responsibilities.

To support you in this role, we offer workshops as part of our WorkLife Presents series designed specifically for caregivers. Topics include: Senior Housing, Understanding Medicare, Stress Management, The Sandwich Generation, and many more.

As a fully-benefited university or health system faculty or staff member, you are also eligible for free individualized consultations with a Lifespan Services Manager on our staff. We can provide information and support, assist you as you problem-solve, and refer you to caregiving resources.

To schedule an appointment, contact us at worklife@jhu.edu or 443-997-7000.
