Workshop: Recognizing and Responding to Depression in the Workplace
Feeling sad or blue because of relationship challenges, loss, or a big change at work, is a normal part of the human experience. Sometimes those "blues" can cross the line into clinical depression, and it is important to be able to distinguish between the two. Depression impacts multiple areas of one’s life and lasts longer than a typical "funk." Join Frances Callahan, assistant director of the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FASAP), to learn about depression types, symptoms, and treatment options. This session will also include tips for managers/supervisors and resource and referral services.
